Today we’re going to take a break from the legal stuff to talk about one of my other favorite topics:
When it comes to chocolate, everyone knows that European is best. But, did you know that a lot of “European” chocolate available in the U.S. are actually owned or manufactured by American companies? It’s true! Cadbury is made by Hershey’s. Godiva is owned by Campbell’s. Toblerone is owned by Mondelez International, which may sound exotic, but is actually just a fancy name for Kraft!
Now, there’s nothing wrong with American chocolate. We’ve been known to indulge in a Hershey’s bar every now and then. But, if you’re looking for something really special, something you wouldn’t just grab off the rack at the checkout line, these so-called “European” brands might not be what you’re expecting.
But, don’t worry! There’s a place where you can get real, authentic European chocolate right here in Central Florida.
Tima’s House is a European and Balkan grocery store in Longwood, owned by my good friend Fatima, which offers high quality, imported products from the Balkan region, along with the rest of Europe, at an affordable price.
They have a huge selection of European chocolate, candies, pastries, and snacks that would be a great Valentine’s present for your special someone. Including my personal favorite, Croatian chocolate, Kraš Dorina!
